H.E Mr. Marwan Al-Rifai

Al-Rifai holds a bachelor's and master's degree in economics from Yarmouk University. He was awarded the Distinguished Supervisory Leadership Employee Award by the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence in Government Performance and Transparency in 2011. Additionally, he participated in the Advanced Public Administration Development Program at Sandhurst College in 2014. He currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and is a consultant in the fields of international cooperation, economic and social development programs and projects, and reforms.
Al-Rifai began his career as a researcher and economic analyst at the Directorate of Studies and Policies at the Development and Employment Fund in 1998. In 2000, he joined the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation as an Economic Cooperation Officer. He was later appointed as Director of Institutional Development and Governance Programs funded by the European Union from 2003 to 2007. From 2008 to 2019, he served as a consultant in European programs, before being appointed Assistant Secretary-General of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, reflecting his extensive experience and progressive growth in the fields of development and planning.
